Anthropic Secures $30B Series G at $380B Valuation

Anthropic $30B Series G funding

Anthropic, a leading enterprise artificial intelligence company, raised $30 billion in Series G funding, bringing its post-money valuation to $380 billion.

The financing round, announced on February 12, 2026, was co-led by GIC and Coatue, with participation from major investors including D. E. Shaw Ventures, Founders Fund, and ICONIQ, among others. The funds are intended to expand Anthropic’s AI research, product development, and global infrastructure.

Series G Funding and Investor Participation

The Series G round attracted a wide range of prominent institutional and venture investors, such as Accel, Addition, Baillie Gifford, BlackRock-affiliated funds, Fidelity, Sequoia Capital, Temasek, and Qatar Investment Authority. Microsoft and NVIDIA also participated, continuing their prior commitments. According to Anthropic, the new investment reflects growing enterprise demand for its Claude AI platform, particularly in coding and knowledge work applications.

Anthropic Chief Financial Officer Krishna Rao emphasized that customer adoption of Claude is increasingly integral to business operations. The company plans to leverage the capital to enhance enterprise-grade AI products and models, ensuring scalability and performance. The funding round represents one of the largest in the AI sector, highlighting the rapid expansion of enterprise-focused artificial intelligence solutions.

Revenue Growth and Enterprise Adoption

Anthropic reported a current run-rate revenue of $14 billion, achieving over tenfold growth annually for the past three years. The number of customers with annual spending above $100,000 on Claude has increased sevenfold over the last year, while enterprises investing more than $1 million annually have grown from a dozen to over 500, including eight of the Fortune 10.

Claude Code, Anthropic’s agentic coding platform launched publicly in May 2025, has become a major revenue contributor, with run-rate revenue surpassing $2.5 billion and weekly active users doubling since January 2026. A recent analysis indicated that Claude Code accounts for 4% of global GitHub public commits, reflecting its growing influence on software development workflows.

Product Expansion and Enterprise Applications

In January 2026, Anthropic released over thirty new products and features, including Cowork, which integrates Claude’s engineering capabilities into broader knowledge work tasks. Cowork supports eleven open-source plugins that allow customers to customize Claude for roles in sales, legal, or finance. Claude for Enterprise is also now available to healthcare organizations under HIPAA compliance standards.

Claude’s intelligence underpins applications in coding, financial analysis, cybersecurity, sales, and scientific research. The latest model, Opus 4.6, delivers professional-quality document, spreadsheet, and presentation generation, and leads global benchmarks in economically valuable knowledge work tasks across finance and legal domains.

Infrastructure and Platform Diversity

The Series G funds will also support infrastructure expansion to maintain Claude’s availability across all major cloud platforms, including Amazon Web Services (Bedrock), Google Cloud (Vertex AI), and Microsoft Azure (Foundry). Anthropic runs its models on diverse hardware such as AWS Trainium, Google TPUs, and NVIDIA GPUs, optimizing performance and resilience for enterprise clients.

Enterprise adoption is driven by Claude’s reliability in mission-critical work, reinforcing Anthropic’s position as a leading provider of frontier AI solutions. The company continues to prioritize scalable, high-performance AI models and products to meet the complex demands of large organizations worldwide.

Market Position and Strategic Recognition

Investors recognize Anthropic as a dominant player in the enterprise AI market. Philippe Laffont of Coatue highlighted the company’s rapid scaling of agentic coding and AI systems, while Choo Yong Cheen of GIC described Anthropic as the clear category leader, achieving notable standards in performance, safety, and operational scale. The funding and subsequent expansion consolidate Anthropic’s influence in the global AI sector.

The Series G round positions Anthropic to maintain technological leadership and enterprise adoption momentum, reinforcing its role as a foundational intelligence platform for businesses and developers worldwide.
