Anthropic and Teach For All have announced a major global partnership aimed at equipping educators with artificial intelligence (AI) skills and tools to transform classroom learning across diverse educational contexts.

This initiative, known as the AI Literacy & Creator Collective (LCC), is designed to reach more than 100,000 teachers and alumni across Teach For All’s network in 63 countries, impacting over 1.5 million students worldwide.

The collaboration represents a shift in how AI is integrated into education, positioning teachers not merely as users of AI tools but as co‑creators who can directly shape how AI is used and developed in real learning environments. Through the collective, educators will receive comprehensive training on AI fluency and practical applications of Claude, Anthropic’s advanced AI assistant.

Empowering Educators as AI Co‑Creators

Unlike many technology adoption programs that deliver ready‑made tools for use, this partnership emphasizes a co‑creation model. Teachers are encouraged to provide feedback on both the utility and design of AI tools, ensuring that classroom needs and on‑the‑ground insights inform Claude’s evolution.

According to Teach For All CEO Wendy Kopp, enabling educators to influence AI’s development is essential for ensuring equitable and effective AI integration in education.

This feedback‑driven approach is a central pillar of the AI Literacy & Creator Collective. By involving educators from the global network in shaping the tools they use, the initiative aims to develop AI applications that are pedagogically sound, culturally relevant, and responsive to the diverse challenges teachers face in different regions.

Practical Impact and Real Classroom Innovation

The early results from pilot teachers participating in the initiative highlight its potential to unlock new modes of learning. One teacher in Liberia, initially new to AI, used Claude to quickly build an interactive climate education curriculum tailored to Liberian schools using Claude Artifacts—interactive tools like apps, games, or visualizations that can be generated on demand.

Another educator in Bangladesh developed a gamified math learning app to support Grade 6 and 7 students who were struggling with numeracy, complete with engaging game mechanics such as leaderboards and rewards.

In Argentina, a technology educator shared that the program expanded her teaching practice, enabling her to create multiple educational artifacts and design digital interactive workspaces aligned with her local curriculum. These examples illustrate how access to AI tools combined with pedagogical insight can lead to innovative, learner‑centered solutions.

Program Structure: Three Pillars of AI Literacy

The AI Literacy & Creator Collective operates through three interrelated programs that support educator growth and collaboration:

AI Fluency Learning Series: A foundational series of six live episodes developed with Anthropic’s education team. These sessions cover essential AI concepts, Claude’s capabilities, and practical classroom applications. Over 530 educators participated in the first series in November 2025, representing a broad range of teaching contexts and experience levels.

Claude Connect: This ongoing online community serves as a global learning hub, where over 1,000 educators from more than 60 countries can exchange prompts, share use cases, and collaborate in daily peer‑to‑peer discussions. The dynamic forum provides a space for continuous learning and collective problem‑solving.

Claude Lab: Designed for educators ready to delve deeper into AI experimentation, this innovation space offers Claude Pro access and advanced features. Participants can test and refine practical AI implementations, receive monthly guidance from the Anthropic team, and directly influence Claude’s product roadmap. More than 200 educators applied to Claude Lab within four days of the program’s launch.

Each component of the collective reinforces the others, creating a structured progression from foundational knowledge to advanced AI creation and refinement.

Integration With Broader Global AI Education Efforts

This partnership builds on Anthropic’s expanding global work in AI education. Prior initiatives include a national AI education pilot with Iceland’s Ministry of Education and Children, intended to integrate AI tools into lesson planning and support teachers across the country, and a collaboration with the Government of Rwanda and ALX aimed at bringing AI learning companions to hundreds of thousands of students and teachers in Africa.

In addition, Anthropic participates in broader educational policy work, such as the White House’s AI Education Taskforce, highlighting the company’s commitment to responsible and equitable AI deployment in educational systems worldwide.

Challenges and Opportunities Ahead

As AI continues to transform how knowledge is created and shared, educators are increasingly recognized as essential guides for helping students navigate this change. The partnership between Anthropic and Teach For All acknowledges that teachers have deep contextual insight into student needs, curricular demands, and local learning challenges. Elevating their role to active contributors in AI tool development is a strategic effort to ensure that technology enhances, rather than disrupts, effective teaching practice.

However, the global scale of this initiative—from West Africa to South Asia and Latin America—also presents challenges. Differences in infrastructure, access to devices, and language barriers may impact how AI tools are adopted and scaled across diverse educational systems. Addressing these challenges will require ongoing collaboration between technology partners, educators, and local stakeholders, ensuring that promising innovations translate into meaningful learning outcomes.

Looking Forward: A New Model for AI in Education

Anthropic and Teach For All’s global AI training initiative represents a forward‑looking model for integrating AI into education. By empowering teachers as co‑creators and providing them with tools, community support, and direct influence on product development, the partnership seeks to create sustainable, context‑aware AI applications that serve students and teachers alike. As more educators complete the training and share their innovations, the initiative is poised to build a powerful global network of AI‑literate teachers shaping the future of education.

Overall, this initiative marks a significant step toward ensuring that AI serves as an inclusive, equitable force in education, one shaped by the insights and creativity of the teachers on the frontlines of learning.
